A vintage Paragon fine bone china teacup and saucer in the “Kingston” pattern, produced in Stoke-on-Trent, England.
This elegant set features a deep cobalt blue band richly decorated with hand-applied gold gilt scrollwork and leaf motifs, framing a delicate multi-color floral bouquet at the center. The strong contrast between the cobalt ground and bright gilding is characteristic of Paragon’s high quality decorative tea wares.
The base bears the mark:
“By Appointment to Her Majesty Queen Mary – Paragon – Fine Bone China – England Regd.”
This Royal Warrant backstamp was used by Paragon China Company Ltd. during the late 1930s through the 1940s, placing this set approximately c.1939–1949.
Below the mark appears the pattern name “Kingston.”
